La Porteuse

Glass and steel sculpture

Collaboration with Josiane Saucier

La Porteuse was born in the wake of the exhibition En Verre et contre tout , presented at the Monument-National in 2010.

Sculpture-installation in shaped glass, inspired by posture, weight, presence.

Fragments of fused glass are integrated into a forged steel structure.
The material is perforated, assembled, suspended.
The body becomes architecture.

The Bearer is a silent figure, standing in space.
which lets light through and carries much more than it says.

First presented at the Monument-National, the work continues its journey at the Théâtre Hector-Charland, in L'Assomption.

A dialogue between weight and light.
Between resistance and transparency.

A dialogue between weight and light.
Between fragility and strength.
