Large Medallion - Gold vermeil
Description
A dense, confident golden nugget.
The shape is first created in glass.
A volume is created in fused glass, then used to make a mould into which solid silver is poured. The metal retains the memory of the curves: a continuous, full, almost mineral roundness.
Covered in vermeil gold, the medallion captures the light with warmth.
The golden surface reveals the volume without weighing it down.
Vermeil is a precious metal composed of solid silver covered with a thick layer of 14-carat gold.
Its gilding is thicker and more durable than traditional plating.

Workshop note
Each medallion is cast individually.
Slight variations in surface and volume are evidence of the craftsmanship involved.

Care
Glass is very resistant and can be brought into contact with water.
On the other hand, to preserve silver and vermeil, it is recommended to avoid prolonged contact with water, perfumes and chemicals.
Store the jewelry separately to protect the glass and the metal finish.
Clean gently with a soft cloth.
Production
Hand-cut glass fused at high temperature in my workshop in the Laurentians.
Each piece is made one by one:
The glass is cut, melted and polished, then mounted on solid silver or vermeil, also hand-crafted.
Slight variations may exist — they are part of the unique character of each creation.
